MTV.com Music Video Picks

from one of our user who has his work on MTV

I recently directed / DPd the music video 'Ballad of Hollis Brown' for rock band Rise Against, Interscope Records and Amnesty International. The documentary-style video was shot entirely run and gun on a road trip from Chicago to Los Angeles and having a 3 Foot S-960 DP Slider along for the ride allowed me to get some great production value in a hurry.... My assistant and I got our setup time down to under a minute - just spin it onto the tripod or lay it on the ground, click the camera into the tripod head and rock. The video wouldn't have been the same without this slider, which I originally bought after watching one-man filmmaking army Ari Perilstein use one in Italy to shoot my cousin's wedding. Great piece of gear!
